Ben & Jerrys Love Is & Coconutterly Caramel'd, Tropical M&M's etc! (Snacks News)

Image
The new snacks just keep on coming this year, and it's still only January! By now I imagine many who follow me will have fallen off their "New Year, New You" plans? Yes? If so read on... Ben & Jerry's UK have announced the release of a new Topped variety that will be available in February just in time for Valentine's Day. It's called "Love is..." and features Buttery brown sugar ice cream, salted caramel cups with a pink coloured coating, cookie swirl, a pink topping and pink hearts. And how amazing does it look?! Never mind your Valentine...you gotta love yourself before anyone else! (aka buy and eat one of these to yourself haha). This one will be music to the ears of anyone Lactose Intolerant or Vegan - Ben & Jerry's have launched a new Coconutterly Caramel'd Non Dairy Ice Cream. This will feature non dairy coconut flavoured ice cream, caramel and cookie swirls and chocolatey chunks. Available now (although I am yet to sp...

Cadbury to launch new Darkmilk Chocolate in UK!

Image
Just a quick spot of Snacks News today - Cadbury UK are going to launch a new Chocolate bar in September called Darkmilk! Already available in Australia in several flavours, this is a richer take on Dairy Milk with 40% cocoa and 14% milk, compared to Dairy Milk which is 23% cocoa and 20% milk. It will cost £1.49 for an 85g bar, with smaller bars launching later. There's an Original variety plus Roasted Almond: Are you excited to try this richer version of Dairy Milk? Are you willing to pay more for a higher cocoa percentage? Let me know in the comments!

Cadbury Dairy Milk 30% Less Sugar & Boost + Protein (Snacks News)

Image
Just a quick heads up on some important snacks news today...Cadbury are going to launch a new 30% Less Sugar version of Dairy Milk! Strangely, it won't be available until 2019 so don't get too excited. The new bars are not replacing the regular variety but are an alternative for those wishing to reduce their sugar intake. They will not be made with artificial sweeteners, but added fibres instead. Personally I think it's a pointless exercise, if you're eating Dairy Milk in the first place you probably aren't too concerned with your sugar intake, and a 30% reduction is hardly a lot.  As well as the new Dairy Milk, Cadbury are also launching a "Boost + Protein" bar, aimed at gym bunnies in need of an extra source. Luckily they'll be available this year so you won't have to wait too long to try them! Let me know your thoughts in the comments...do you want to see reduced sugar versions of your favourite chocolate bars or would you prefer a ...

Oreo Birthday Party - new for the UK!

Image
Just a quick post today as a heads up...Oreo Birthday Party variety is now available in the UK! From Asda specifically, these are on offer for 50p and consist of regular Oreo vanilla creme cookies with sprinkles in the centre. They're pretty much the same thing as Oreo Birthday Cake which have been available as imports for a while, and have been launched to celebrate Oreo's birthday. Have you tried these? Are they as good as Oreo Birthday Cake? Let me know in the comments!

Nestle Ruby Kitkat to launch in the UK!

Image
Good news snack lovers, Nestle are going to launch their much-hyped Ruby Kitkats in the UK - hurrah! The Kitkats, first launched in China last year are made with naturally pink-coloured Ruby cocoa beans and will go on sale in Tesco in four finger bars. The specially coloured beans are grown in the Ivory Coast, Ecuador and Brazil and promise "an intense fruity taste". The chocolate was created by Swiss chocolatier Barry Callebaut - the world’s largest cocoa processor. Nestle are calling Ruby Chocolate a "fourth chocolate", after traditional Milk, Dark and White. It's the first new natural colour for chocolate since Nestlé unveiled white chocolate more than 80 years ago. The Kitkats will go on sale in the US and Europe following the UK launch. Wow - must be the first time we are getting a product launched here before other countries! Do you fancy the look of the Ruby Kitkat? Have you seen it in shops yet? Let me know in the comments below!

Kitkat Senses to return with Salted Caramel, Hazelnut & Double Chocolate!

Image
A quick post today with some interesting snacks news: Nestle are going to relaunch their axed Kitkat Senses brand in a miniature version, which will come boxed and contains Kitkat wafers with three different fillings: Salted Caramel, Hazelnut and Double Chocolate. The boxes will retail at £3.99, containing 20 bars and will be available in Tesco in the next week, and other supermarkets in March. This is intended to be a permanent release and not limited edition. The Salted Caramel variety will contain a layer of caramel and crunchy sugar shards, the hazelnut a layer of praline and crunchy pieces of nut, and the double chocolate will have a layer of ganache and cocoa nibs. The bars are being launched in box format to meet the demand for sharing products and will be situated next to products like Ferrero Rocher and Maltesers. A hazelnut only version will also be launched. Are you excited? Do you remember the original Kitkat Senses bars? Which flavour takes your fancy the most? Let m...

New Products: Kinder Bueno Coconut, Poundland Twin Peaks, Pringles Street Food & More!

Image
It's been a while since I did a Spotted In Shops post, but since there's so many new products out lately I thought it about time for a revival - rejoice everyone! One of the most important new product launches is of course the Kinder Bueno Coconut , one for the coconutters out there, and one I can't eat due to gluten. Boo! I do hope to see a review from my favourite Coconutter aka Reaching For Refreshment though. Please take one for the team Cupcake! Spotted in Superdrug. One product that I'm eager for but seems to be having some legal trouble with Toblerone is Poundland's Twin Peaks bar. It is of course very similar in design, with "twin peak" shaped blocks rather than the triangular ones on a Toblerone. It actually contains more chocolate too. Since Mondelez drastically altered the spacing of Toblerone blocks last year ( check out my review for the pics!) we've all been crying out for something better value, and looks like this could...
