Galaxy White Chocolate Cookies Review

Image
For some inexplicable reason, Mars UK do Galaxy white hot chocolate, Maltesers white hot chocolate, and now they also do Galaxy white chocolate cookies! Unfortunately they don’t do *actual* bars of Galaxy white chocolate. Either they're trying to gauge demand for one (which already exists in Dubai !) or using the name to sell other products. I hope it's the former because that white chocolate Galaxy looks amazing. Fingers crossed! On to today's review then - these cookies are currently new and exclusive to Asda for £1 a pack. They come with about 8 cookies per pack that smell super buttery and golden - I knew these were gonna be good! And they were delicious! They were somehow more creamy and milky than a run of the milk white chocolate cookie, although didn't have butter in the ingredients but they did have whey powder, so I'm presuming whey was added to the cookie mix as well as the white chocolate chunks. These are definitely different to a standard white c...

Elizabeth Shaw Luxuriously Tempting Biscuit Selection

Image
A big thankyou to Elizabeth Shaw for sending me this Christmas "Luxuriously Tempting" Biscuit Selection pack to review recently. This is a box containing three packs of unique biscuit varieties; Mint and Cocoa, Coconut and Hazelnut and the very festive...White Chocolate and Cranberry! These are available for £5 from Sainsbury's stores in the Christmas gifts aisle. The White Chocolate and Cranberry biscuits certainly looked the part and are described as "chocolate biscuit with cranberry flavour caramel, cranberry flavour pieces and rice crisps in white chocolate". Cutting it open, you can see the chocolate biscuit layer and red coloured caramel sat above. It's an interesting combination, mixing creamy white chocolate with the more bourbon-like cookie base, and the tartness of the cranberries makes it feel almost like a blackforest flavour? This is offset by the sweet caramel, and the rice crisps bring a nice crunchy element that works well with t...

The Protein Works Salted Caramel Protein Cookies

Image
A huge thankyou to The Protein Works, who recently sent me some of their Protein Cookies to review! Protein Cookies are a new one on me, something I've never tried before so I was very intrigued. You can find these from www.theproteinworks.com , and they come in a wide variety of flavours. There's also Protein Brownies and all manner of protein based truffles to enjoy if you're of the #fitfam way of life! The protein comes from a whey powder, milk protein and collagen blend which forms the bulk of the cookie. There's also oat flour, corn fibre and the sweetener sucralose mixed in. Opening the wrapper, the cookie had a rather interesting looking appearance with a golden brown colour. I split it open, which was easy enough. There's cubes of fudge pieces embedded within the cookie. The smell was very different to a regular cookie, it has that "whey" powder aroma that I'm sure many are familiar with. It's not unpleasant at all but it's ...

Co Op Rainbow Unicones & Cherry Bakewell Ice Cream! (Spotted In Shops)

Image
Today's Spotted In Shops post is a bit late, but a heads up to anyone with a Co Op nearby...they are now selling Unicorn themed ice creams called... Rainbow Uni-Cones ! Yep, they've jumped on the magical unicorn highway and have created these Ice Creams complete with vanilla and raspberry ice cream, sprinkles and bizarrely, black waffle cones. Maybe to highlight the filling? Who knows! Going further to the Dark Side, they've also created these "Twice as Ice!" Double Chocolate Waffle Cones . I can't say they appeal to me, as much as like all things chocolatey. In fruitier ice creams, they're also doing these cool-looking Pineapple Lollies . Sounds tasty! They're also doing this lovely sounding Cherry Bakewell Ice Cream , complete with almond flavour ice cream, cherry sauce and digestive biscuit. Yum! Plus a Coconut & Belgian Chocolate Ice Cream , complete with butter enriched coconut biscuit and a truffle centre. As well as this ...

Cadbury Heroes Cupcakes & Rocky Road Mud Cake (Spotted In Shops)

Image
A Spotted In Shops focused on cakes and biscuits today, since there are so many new treats in shops lately!  First up is the rather special Cadbury Heroes Party Cupcakes Selection. Now even though this is called Cadbury Heroes, the cupcakes only feature Cadbury Caramel, Cadbury Crunchie and Cadbury Flake. That's hardly "Heroes", Cadbury! Still these cupcakes with their caramel and chocolate buttercreams do sound pretty scrumptious. Spotted in Tesco. Cadbury Rocky Road Mud Cake: A new "gluten free" Mud Cake from Cadbury, made with Cadbury Chocolate that can be found in the Free From frozen section at Tesco. Although this is gluten free, it's made from wheat starch that has had the gluten removed...so if you're super sensitive to wheat I would advise caution with this. Otherwise, it sounds like a tasty cake indeed! Galaxy Chocolate Mousse Cake: A delicious new cake from Mars, this one features a biscuit base and layers of chocolate mousse, toppe...

Twix Chocolate Caramel Cookies: Last year we got Twix Spread, but this year Twix is getting the cookie treatment! Who knows what we'll get next...Twix Doughnut anyone? Spotted in Tesco, fresh bakery section. Oreo Thins UK version: Oreos have slimmed down! I hear these are very good...available in both Original Vanilla and Chocolate Cream flavours . Spotted in Tesco. McVitie's...
