Ben & Jerry’s Birthday Cake & Topped Pretzel Palooza (Spotted In Shops)

Image
Another quick edition of Spotted In Shops today, this time for something always worthy of shouting about: New Ben & Jerry's flavours! It seems they've been busy again and released two new flavours onto the U.K market: Birthday Cake, containing Vanilla Cake Batter Ice Cream with Pink Frosting, Strawberry Swirls and Cake Pieces. It comes in lovely packaging that enables you to gift the tub to someone on their birthday - such a nice touch! I would actually do this if it wouldn't melt in the post! Currently available at Sainsbury's for £4. As if that wasn't exciting enough they've only gone and bloomin' launched another variety, this time in their "Topped" range called Pretzel Palooza. This one contains Vanilla malt ice cream with a chocolatey hazelnut swirl (11%), chocolatey covered pretzel chunks (7%), chocolatey chunks (2%) and chocolatey topping (9%), and it's currently £3 in Sainsbury's. What are you waiting for? Get yourself down ...

Nestle Fab Birthday Cake Flavour

Nestle Fab Ice Cream is 50 years old, who would have thought it? To celebrate they've brought out this new special Birthday Cake Flavour lolly with Sprinkles on top, costing £2 for 6 lollies. Of course I bit straight into the sprinkly bit first! It tasted lovely; sugar laden, crunchy and creamy all mixed together. The vanilla is quite prominent whilst the raspberry ice...

Image
When I spotted this "Birthday Cake Popcorn" in Discount UK/Bargain Buys the other day I got super excited...until I read the ingredients and saw it was full of additives and colourings. But my curiosity started gnawing away at me (as it always does with things like this!) and I decided I just had to try it...in the name of Snacks Science! This costs £1 a bag and is made by Toad-Ally Snax, one of the oddest company names I've heard in a while...it's a company originating from Bristol, PA (that's Bristol in Pensylvania, not Britain!). You get 85g popcorn per bag and it's described as "white chocolate drizzled birthday cake flavoured popcorn". It's also got baking sprinkles all over it too (complete with food colourings that "may have an adverse effect on attention in children"). I poured the popcorn into a bowl, it had a very sweet aroma, more so than most white chocolate does. Suspiciously reading the ingredients list, I found...
