Co Yo Salted Caramel Coconut Milk Yoghurt

Image
I've never been a fan of regular yogurts, they're just not something I eat a lot of, but one brand I've always had a soft spot for is Co Yo (in fact I reviewed their Original Co Yo Yoghurt wayyy back!) Their yogurts are made exclusively with coconut milk, and are suitable for anyone who is dairy free or vegan. They also contain no added sugar and are suitable for anyone on The Paleo Diet. They're usually around £2 a pot but Tesco are selling them for £1.50 currently so I couldn't resist giving this Salted Caramel variety a try. It contains coconut caramel, which is a mixture of coconut milk, coconut sugar and Himalayan salt. Opening the lid, it had a very natural but distinct caramel aroma. Taking a spoonful, the first thing I noticed was just how thick and rich the texture of the yogurt is. It's very satisfying and creamy, and feels like a proper luxury yogurt. The caramel taste is strong, but rather than the super sweet throat burning caramel in ...

CoYo Vanilla Coconut Milk Yogurt - Review

Image
Last year I reviewed regular CoYo Yoghurt , and it seems since then the company has gone from strength to strength - they now have listings in Tesco stores, plus they're available from Waitrose in several different flavours. They've also removed the sweeteners and sugars from their plain yoghurts. CoYo contains vegan-friendly probiotic cultures, as well as one whole coconut per 100g of yoghurt. I noticed this new vanilla variety in Waitrose the other day and couldn't resist giving it a try....I loooove vanilla yoghurt, but sadly cow's milk yoghurt doesn't seem to be my friend anymore - it's something I really miss! It tasted lovely - very creamy and rich, with a nice yoghurty tang and a strong vanilla flavour. The vanilla seeds were clearly visible in the yoghurt so you can tell they hadn't skimped on them. This yoghurt felt like a real treat, especially to someone who hasn't eaten yoghurt in ages! I'd definitely buy it again, but perhaps n...

Co-Yo Dairy Free Coconut Milk Yoghurt Review

Image
I'd been searching for this CoYo Dairy Free yogurt for ages last year - I'm a big fan of coconut milk products for their health benefits - but unfortunately it proved rather elusive to track down! Luckily since then it has appeared in a lot of organic and whole food stores, which can only be a good thing. In short, this yogurt is simply delicious! It tastes just as good as regular cow's milk yogurt, in fact I would say it surpasses it since it doesn't have that strong acidic taste. It's much creamier thanks to the coconut milk and tastes a lot more satisfying. I'm sure it would be perfect with cereal or for mixing with fruit, and of course it's suitable for anyone with a dairy allergy. It's sweetened with xylitol which makes it sugar-free, plus it contains probiotics as well as being vegan, nut-free and gluten-free. Thank goodness it's not deliciousness-free! Overall, CoYo gets a big thumbs up from me and I would highly recommend it to anyo...
