The Raw Chocolate Co Vegan Bars Review
It's still #veganuary, so just enough time to do a review of these Vegan Organic Raw Chocolates from The Raw Chocolate Co! They kindly sent me several from their range to try recently, which I was super excited about because I do love their Vanoffee Bar. It's the best "white" vegan chocolate out there, although is more akin to Blonde Chocolate.
As well as a new "Salted Vanoffee Hazelnut" and "Silky Coconut" bar, they're also doing Vanoffee Chocolate coated cashew nuts! Their products are available from:

So if you're dairy free or vegan do check 'em out - they're only a small company and deserve a lot more success in my opinion!
The Vanoffee chocolate is described as a "Cocoa confection with Lucuma and Vanilla". It's sort of a cross between Caramac and White Chocolate, but of course vegan. The cashew nuts are thickly coated in it with a dusting of organic cocoa powder. And they're pretty darn addictive!
They tasted super fresh (some cashews from shops taste a little stale I find) and the Vanoffee coating was crisp, thick and has a lovely smooth caramel taste that's hard to describe...it's very natural whilst also being delicious. These are a great snack, although perhaps more of an indulgent one than your regular everyday treats! 8 out of 10.
The Vanoffee bar itself consists of virgin cocoa butter, lucuma, coconut blossom sugar and vanilla. I've reviewed this one before so you can check that out, but in summary it has a sweet toffee like flavour thanks to the lucuma. It's a lovely bar if you're vegan and fancy something tasting of Caramac or Blonde Chocolate. 8.5/10.
The Salted Vanoffee Hazelnut consists of virgin cocoa butter, organic lucuma, organic hazelnut butter, organic coconut blossom sugar, vanilla and sea salt. And I think I liked this one even more than the regular Vanoffee bar! The hazelnut butter and sea salt really add to the moreish flavour, making it something of a savoury, nutty salted caramel experience. This is next level stuff if you're vegan or dairy free - definitely worth trying, and definitely an indulgent treat. 9 out of 10.
Last but not least, the Silky Coconut variety which consists of raw cocoa mass, coconut blossom sugar, virgin cocoa butter, creamed coconut and coconut flour, and vanilla. Having tried a few similar chocolates to this now I was expecting this to be creamy, and it most certainly was, with a nice caramel edge and a strong taste of raw cacao. However I didn't like this as much as the previous two bars. It's still nice it just wouldn't be my first choice from this range. 7.5/10.
Overall, The Raw Chocolate Co have not disappointed me and I do wish these chocolates were more widely available! The Vanoffee one used to be stocked locally to me but has since disappeared. If you're vegan or just experimenting for veganuary, do go and check this company out - their bars are available directly from their site as well as other online retailers.
