Reese's Peanut Butter comes in an array of different shapes and sizes these days so it's only fitting that it would be put in egg form to celebrate Easter. Easter is usually dominated by Cadbury's Creme Egg but it seems this year Reese's want to muscle in on their territory. These Reese's Peanut Butter Creme Eggs can be found in Tesco and Tesco Express stores for 50p each or three for £1. They contain milk, peanuts and corn derived dextrose so don't consume if you're allergic to any of those. The size is a little smaller than a Cadbury Creme Egg but the shape is pretty similar, albeit with some patterned grooves along the sides. I bit off the top to reveal the peanut butter filling beneath. It tastes pretty much how you'd expect it to; firm, sweet peanut paste like you can get in any Reese's product. It's beginning to feel a lot like...actually, this year it felt like Christmas way back in September since most Christmas products started appearing on shelves then, but nevertheless I felt the need to do my yearly round up of some of the coolest/bestest/newest Christmassy products on shelves. You know you love it! Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are becoming ever more popular in the UK, so it makes sense that other Reese's products would start popping up over here too. One that caught my eye recently, reduced to clear in Morrisons, was this Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate Spread. It's described as simply "a blend of peanut butter and cocoa". Peanuts feature high on the ingredients list, which is a good sign since some spreads don't use a high percentage of nuts in them. Opening the lid, the spread certainly smelled very strong and nutty. And it tasted pretty darn good! It's somewhat like a cross between smooth peanut butter and chocolate spread, sort of like a peanut Nutella. The peanut butter texture is nice, giving that grittiness that only peanut butter can. This is good stuff but it's definitely very sweet, which is maybe the only thing that lets it down.
