A big thankyou to McVitie's Cakes who sent me this Galaxy Cake Bar Selection Cracker to review recently. It just turned up one morning unexpectedly...always a nice surprise to receive snacks! The Cracker is especially designed for the festive season, containing 11 mini Galaxy cake bars and is available from B&M and Tesco stores. The selection consists of Galaxy Salted Caramel cakes, Galaxy Caramel cakes, Orange cakes and Chocolate cakes. The salted caramel variety contains chocolate sponge cake with a layer salted caramel sat above it - what a delicious combination! Definitely the best from this box, with a nice balance of buttery, salty caramel, moist cake and smooth chocolate. The Caramel cake bar contains smooth caramel and is just as delicious as the salted caramel variety, with sweeter caramel if you prefer that over salted. It's just as delicious and a classic treat. A Spotted In Shops focused on cakes and biscuits today, since there are so many new treats in shops lately!  First up is the rather special Cadbury Heroes Party Cupcakes Selection. Now even though this is called Cadbury Heroes, the cupcakes only feature Cadbury Caramel, Cadbury Crunchie and Cadbury Flake. That's hardly "Heroes", Cadbury! Still these cupcakes with their caramel and chocolate buttercreams do sound pretty scrumptious. Spotted in Tesco. Cadbury Rocky Road Mud Cake: A new "gluten free" Mud Cake from Cadbury, made with Cadbury Chocolate that can be found in the Free From frozen section at Tesco. Although this is gluten free, it's made from wheat starch that has had the gluten removed...so if you're super sensitive to wheat I would advise caution with this. These Haribo Little Cupcakes have been sat there on the shelf in Tesco for a while now, annoyingly calling me to try them. Don't they know I already consume enough sugar to feed a small army?! I finally plopped them in my basket, in need of some weekend sweets. They cost 98p or so, are not suitable for vegetarians and implore you to "create your own delicious cupcake creations with a caramel or lemon biscuit base, finishing it off with either a blueberry, orange, lemon, cherry, vanilla or strawberry topping". Annoyingly, there were no strawberry toppings in my bag, boo! There also seemed to be an over-abundance of biscuit bases to toppings. I do love the idea of these I have to say. It's a lot of fun creating your own flavour combinations, and how cute do they look?
