A big thanks to Retrocorn for sending me a variety of new popcorn flavours from their range to review recently. Their popcorn is "popped in Great Britain with traditional British sweets", with classic retro flavours such as Sherbet Lemon, Cola Cubes etc added to it. The popcorn is gluten free and suitable for vegans, and contains 85 calories per half a bag. I do like the bag design - it's colourful and funky whilst also showing off its British credentials. Nice! I was sent a fair few flavours to try but today I'll focus on the Cherry Pips and Cola Cube varieties - both quite novel and different, and not flavours you'd usually see mixed with popcorn! The Cherry Pips flavour is of course combined with crushed Cherry sweets, making for an interesting sweet and sour combination. Just a quick run down of some recent Spotted In Shops finds this week...there's so many new products out it's hard to keep track, but rest assured I'll be doing the yearly Christmas & Halloween In Shops roundups soon! Firstly (above), this  made the rounds in the News  recently, it is of course Christmas Tree flavour crisps, available at Iceland! Would you try them? I haven't. Secondly - the fantastic sounding new Bailey's Chocolate Yule Log, available at Tesco. Yummo! In other weird crisp flavours, Gin has found its way onto crisps too. Waitrose are doing Pink Peppercorn Gin Hand Cooked Crisps! Bailey's Pumpkin Spice is back! Available at Tesco for £12. Or if you want a cheaper version, Aldi are now doing Specially Selected Pumpkin Spice Irish Cream Liquer for £6.99. I was recently offered to try some new snacks called Corners, a type of crisp made from...popcorn! Who doesn't love popcorn, right? Well they've only gone and pressed them into Doritos-style chips in two flavours: Sweet & Salty and Sea Salt. These are available from  https://www.popcorners.com/ and are Gluten Free, Vegan and never fried. Pretty clean! I started by trying the Sea Salt variety as I was in a savoury mood. They're a bit like corn cakes, which if you've ever tried them you'll know are rather similar to Rice Cakes. However these are thinner and of course, more crisp like... I poured them into a bowl and started eating. Yum - they're super moreish! The only way I can really describe them is addictive; there's something about the combination of corn and salt that makes it hard to stop eating. I didn't think the Sweet ones would beat them to be honest... I'd rate them 8.5 out of 10. I wasn't sure about the Sweet and Salty on...

Another quick Spotted In Shops today as a heads up: M&S are NOW DOING CARAMEL AND TOASTED POPCORN SAUCE! Described as "A sweet, buttery and indulgent sauce made with BRITISH condensed milk, cream and butter" - how great does it sound?! Price is £2. They're also doing a Lemon, Gin and Tonic sauce described as "A tart and tangy sauce full of classic, punchy flavour and made with 4% gin". Cheers to that! Price: £2. In other innovations they're also doing Rhubarb and Custard Curd, made specifically with BRITISH rhubarb juice. Hmm I'm sensing a patriotic theme here! They're also doing Rhubarb, Raspberry and Rose Conserve, made with ENGLISH rhubarb and SCOTTISH raspberries, with a hint of rose. I'm not sure I fancy rose in my jam, personally! Something a bit more traditional with a twist, it's Blackberry Bramble and Gin Conserve made with British blackberries and London dry gin. They're also doing 50% lower fat Skinny mousse...
