Perfect World Pistachio Ice Cream

Image
Following my reviews of Perfect World Caramel and Pecan and Raspberry Ripple Ice Creams today's is another from their newly revamped vegan, sugar free and gluten free range in a rather delicious flavour indeed...Pistachio! Containing only 5.2g of natural sugars and 390 calories per tub this also boasts 12 vitamins and minerals too. Not bad for an indulgent treat! The ice cream is made with a blend of coconut milk, almond, cashew and pistachio nut paste as well as the sweeteners xylitol, erythritol and stevia. Opening the lid, it had a lovely green hue and inviting pistachio aroma. There's little pistachio pieces mixed into the ice cream. Taste wise it was lovely, a super creamy and inviting pistachio flavour that melted in the mouth beautifully. The crunchy pieces add a nice bit of bite without it being too much. This is most definitely one for pistachio lovers, it's so nutty and moreish! I liked the fact that it's not sickly sweet like some dairy-based ice crea...

New M&S Blond Chocolate, Vegan Gianduja Bars & More! (Spotted In Shops)

Image
Another Spotted In Shops, and today it's the turn of M&S with some of their interesting new chocolates - first up one that will no doubt excite many, it's their new Blond Swiss Chocolate! It seems that 2018 is the year of blond chocolates, what with Nestle also selling their L'Atelier Blonde Hazelnuts & Almonds bar at Sainsbury's...I wonder how long until Cadbury's follow suit? (they recently launched a  blonde chocolate called Cadbury's Caramilk in New Zealand and it looks amazing!). This M&S variety is made with caramelised sugar, cocoa butter, milk and dried whey...see the ingredients list above. Do want! M&S are also doing some new filled bars such as this  White Chocolate Cappuccino , with a creamy coffee ganache filling. Plus there's  Milk Chocolate Stracciatella , with a creamy filling and dark chocolate pieces: And this  Italian White Chocolate with Whole Pistachios ... And Italian Milk Chocolate with Whole Almonds :...

Waitrose White Chocolate with Matcha Tea & Pistachio

Image
All the posh supermarkets seem to be upping their game in the chocolate stakes recently, we've had a boatload of fancy new snacks from M&S, but now Waitrose have stepped into the ring with some new bars in their own label range. The one I went for was this White Chocolate with Matcha Tea & Pistachio, but there's also another new variety that contains Wafer and Caramel - sadly I couldn't try it as it contains gluten :( The bar is described as "Roasted Pistachio pieces and green matcha tea in vanilla-rich white chocolate" and cost around £1.60 for an 85g bar. Not bad for posh chocolate! It's been years since I've had white chocolate flavoured with green tea, so I was a little weary as to how this might turn out. Thankfully, it was very tasty! The pistachios dominate the flavour, bringing a lovely nutty, almost floral edge to the bar, with the green tea bringing a slightly sharper aftertaste. All of this works very well against the creamy...

Ülker Pistachio White Chocolate Bar Review (Turkish)

Image
Whilst passing a local Turkish shop recently I just had to purchase this bar. I love white chocolate...but I've never seen one that contains pistachio nuts before! Turkish foods are of course known for adding pistachios to absolutely everything, and I've tried the Dark Chocolate version of this before which wasn't really my thing, but this sounded a bit more up my street. I'm glad I bought it because it was delicious! The white chocolate was very creamy, somewhat richer than Milkybar with the right balance of sweet and milky, and the pistachios added a moreish, savoury nuttiness which made me want to gobble the whole thing (and I very nearly did...oops!) Overall, this is a seriously moreish bar; if you have any Turkish stores nearby I would highly recommend trying it! RATING: 8.5 out of 10.

Ülker Golden 70% Cacao with Pistachios - Turkish Dark Chocolate Bar Review

Image
Whilst browsing a local Turkish store I came across this Ülker dark chocolate bar with pistachios. I've previously reviewed the Ülker Milk Chocolate Hazelnut bar and was very disappointed as it was a bit stale, but thought I'd give them another chance. I was especially intrigued by a bar containing pistachio nuts as it's not something you see that often! Opening the cardboard sleeve revealed a lovely golden foil-wrapped bar. I have to say Ülker are great with the presentation of their chocolates! Of course it also fits with the name "Golden", which is even better! Opening the foil revealed a rather glossy looking bar. It looked a lot nicer than some other dark chocolate bars I've tried. Snapping it in half revealed plenty of chunky pistachio pieces embedded within the chocolate. They certainly don't skimp on them! Taking a bite I was met with quite an intense dark chocolate but unfortunately it didn't have a particularly distinctiv...
