Doritos Stax Spicy Chicken Wings

Image
There's a new range of Doritos in town to steal Pringles crunchy crown...Doritos Stax! These are available now from most supermarkets, and this Spicy Chicken Wings flavour is exclusive to Tesco. The prices vary between £1.50 - £2.50 depending on where you buy them. They are unusual in that they contain dried black beans in the ingredients. I was expecting them to be similar to Pingles but they're a bit different in that they contain little bubbles in the crisps. They have a nice strong spicy chicken flavour and as always with Doritos  are well seasoned. They'd go particularly nicely with a dip. I liked that they seem a bit more wholesome than regular Doritos somehow, maybe due to the black beans. Overall, these are a nice addition to the Doritos range and are a bit different from regular Doritos, but I'm not sure we really needed them? They don't give you the same moreish crunchy factor that Pringles do so I'm not likely to get them very often. Nice novel...

Doritos Flavour A Sizzling Salsa Tortilla Chips (#DestroyDoritos Winner!)

Image
So, it's been decided, Flavour A from the recent #DestroyDoritos competiton was the winner and everyone voted to destroy Flavour B: Ultimate Cheeseburger forever. Which is a shame, because I rather liked it...check out my review! Since the public has spoken, lets find out what all the fuss is about: this flavour consists of spicy salsa flavoured tortillas, which are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, dairy free and gluten free, but made in a factory that handles wheat and dairy. They have a plethora of artificial additives providing the flavouring...well we wouldn't have it any other way from Doritos would we?! Opening the bag the tortillas had a very strong, overpowering aroma. I poured most of them into a bowl. They tasted as strong as they smelled...they had a definite tomatoey spicy salsa kick to them, with a strong salty flavour that I can only presume was from the MSG in the ingredients. They were very moreish and tasty but did leave me needing a drink a...

Doritos B: Ultimate Cheeseburger & #DestroyDoritos Competition

Image
I'm not usually one to eat Doritos these days, but this mysterious black bag with Doritos B printed on it lured me in when I spotted it in Asda the other day. It's "Ultimate Cheeseburger" flavour, and Doritos are doing a competition where you have to decide which flavour you want destroyed forever. The winning idea gets £20,000. Flavour A is Spicy Salsa, which I reckon I'll be voting to destroy forever, since Flavour B is actually quite yummy... These are £1 in Asda at the moment, but snap them up quickly because they were going like hot cakes when I was there. The Spicy Salsa variety in particular was disappearing fast! Unlike the Spicy Salsa variety, these ones do not contain MSG in the ingredients, which I prefer since MSG gives me headache. They contain whey powder and spices instead, to give it that cheeseburger flavour. Like all Doritos, they're very moreish of course, and once I started eating it was very hard to stop! The cheeseburger flav...
