This week, Nestle launched another new product to the confectionery world under the Aero brand. It's something I had always thought they should do - a fancier version of Aero - and comes in a similar style box to Nestle Kitkat Senses. There's three varieties in the range; Milk Chocolate, Mixed and Salted Caramel selections. Nestle kindly sent me all three to review, and I'm supposed to hashtag them with #blissmoment...but do they deliver said moments of bliss? Well, I ate the whole pack in one go so that's probably a good sign! And I'm not alone in that which makes me feel a little less guilty. The pack opens in rather a cool way (you may have seen my mini video on Instagram ) and kind of becomes a cardboard bowl...but in reality, let's be honest you're gonna eat the lot! The chocolates are described as "Velvety whipped bubbles wrapped in delicious milk chocolate" and "smooth milk chocolate filled with a salted caramel aerated whipped ...

As well as the Aero Heavenly Chocolate Mousse with Salted Caramel & Hazelnuts I reviewed the other day, there's also this variety; Salted Caramel Mousse. Asda were out of stock when I bought the Milk Chocolate variety, and I can see why - this one is infinitely nicer! Priced at £1.30 like the Milk Chocolate version, this is described as "Salted caramel mousse with pecan nuts and caramel sauce". Opening the lid, I was met with a tantalizing sight: salted caramel mousse, complete with caramel sauce swirled in. It looked and smelled delicious. I dug straight in with a spoon. The salted caramel flavour hits immediately; it reminded me somewhat of a mixture of butterscotch and Caramac, and works brilliantly in mousse form! The swirls of sauce don't taste of much but they do add some nice gooey texture. The bits of pecan nuts add some crunch, but I wouldn't have guessed they were pecans. A week doesn't go by lately without another new product on shelves, and this time it's Nestle's turn with a new type of Aero Mousse. They've just launched this luxury "Heavenly" variety, in a single tub so you can scoff it all yourself without feeling guilty. I found it in Asda for £1.30, which didn't seem like a bad price for something luxury. It's described as "Milk chocolate mousse with hazelnuts and salted caramel sauce". There's also a Salted Caramel Mousse variety but they were out of stock when I bought this. Opening the lid, it looked very appetizing, there was a nice amount of salted caramel sauce swirled into the mousse. I took a spoonful, and found that there were pieces of hazelnut dispersed throughout the mousse. There were more swirls of caramel sauce too, although not as plentiful as those at the top. The mousse tasted very nice, but the most predominant flavour was of the hazelnuts - they were very stro...

I wasn't too interested in trying this New Aero Mousse Caramel variety when I first heard about it, not after the boringness that was the original Aero Mousse Bar I reviewed last year. However for the sake of saying "I tried it" I decided to give it a whirl when I spotted it in a random newsagents recently, and thank goodness I do give things another chance because it turned out to be a rather tasty (if not very tiny) chocolate bar! For 75p (!) you get a mere 34g of chocolate, and it's not even all chocolate, a large proportion of it is vegetable fat. Despite this, Nestle have had the audacity to list the calories of a mere mouthful of the bar (half!) on the front of the wrapper, and the back even says "re-close to save some for later". I'm sorry Nestle, but no sane person is likely to do that when there's barely enough chocolate to feed a mouse! On the wrapper the bar is described as "smooth milk chocolate filled with bubbly milk chocolate ...

Here we have the latest chocolate bar to shake up the confectionary world, the imaginitive new Aero Mousse! Please do forgive my sarcasm, it's just that this bar seems a bit plain and pointless to me, but nevertheless I still had to give it a try when I spotted it in Boots recently. According to the press release, it's being marketed at women, because of course no man would ever eat such a light chocolate bar. Only Yorkies for us please!  Opening the wrapper and placing the bar next to it I was struck by how small it looked. I presumed this is because the mousse adds extra to the weight of the bar...but it only weighs 34g which doesn't seem a lot! I'm not sure how much a regular Aero weighs these days as I never buy them, but I'm pretty sure it's more than 34 grams.  Anyway, the front of the pack gives the calories for half of the bar...because of course any self respecting woman would only eat a measly 17 grams! Here's some new and limited edition products I've spotted in supermarkets recently... Cadbury Roses Pots of Joy Hazel Whirl Following on from Roses Strawberry Dream Pots of Joy , Cadbury have now added this new Hazel Whirl variety to the range. Only available in 4 packs so far. Spotted in Tesco. Tango Jaffa Cakes Tango Jaffa Cakes! These are made by Huntley & Palmers who have quite a bit of history as a biscuit manufacturer, and contain an orange Tango filling coated in dark chocolate. I wonder how they compare to McVitie's Jaffa Cakes? Spotted in Home Bargains. Last year Nestlé UK held a competition on their Aero Facebook page to introduce a new Aero flavour. The winner was white chocolate, which was launched as a limited edition small bar earlier in the year. To see my review of it click HERE . Since then they've launched it in large block format, as well as these bite-size Aero Bubbles. I don't often buy Aero Bubbles but thought I'd give these a try just in case they tasted any different from the bar version. The Bubbles are described as "An aerated vanilla flavoured centre with a half milk chocolate flavoured, half vanilla flavoured shell". They don't actually contain "real" white chocolate...just a vanilla flavoured "confection" made up of vegetable fat and whey powder. The Bubbles had an odd taste - very sweet and powdery with an artificial vanilla flavour.
