Percy Pig is having a party...a rather psychedelic one at that! It's Percy Pigs Birthday year and he's been celebrating with these new flavours which seem to be various fruits. Very tasty and flavoursome and great as always. Has Percy ever had a bad sweet? Find these in stores now!

      Aw dont worry I will not totally give up blogging! I do much prefer it over the social media stuff...the problem is not as many people read blogs these days which is such a shame :(

      It is a shame - social media has it's place and I do use it (lots lol in fact I do follow you) but it is no substitute for a blog! I'm always slightly perplexed by people that use it as such - I feel it should be able to work as a companion, to draw people in and then entice them over to the blog.

      So glad you're not giving it up!

    Yeah prefer reading the proper blog reviews. All the best products seem to end up on Instabrag or Facebore. Might sign up at some point but in no hurry.

      Haha thats a good assessment of Instagram and FB! I'll try do more regular blog reviews. Problem is so many readers migrated over to the social media platforms, but it's nice to know people do still read the blog posts :)

Asda Tinned Banana Blossom Review

Recently, I spotted a totally new vegetable/fruit (not sure which it actually is!) in Asda called Banana Blossom in a tin. It was next to the tins of Jackfruit which is a well known vegan meat alternative. I assumed it was a similar thing so happily bought some to try - it’s £1.50 a tin. The image on the wrapper looked innocent enough - battered fish pieces, only vegan! Surely this stuff must be good? Turns out that packaging was very misleading because nothing could prepare me for the horror that was lurking inside...when I opened the tin it was like opening something from a horror film, discovering the mouldy body of an ancient alien creature or other such evil. It looked hideous!! “Surely this is not meant for human consumption?!”, I thought. Heck it’s not even suitable for bird consumption....I think flies would even turn their nose up at this thing, which looked like rotten infested seaweed. Lidl Way To Go Fin Carre Ethical Chocolate

I recently spotted some new funky looking bars in Lidl, and instantly they reminded me of Tony’s Chocolonely bars, the ethical brand that launched last year donating money to helping end slavery in cocoa production. I’ve always loved the Tony’s brand and I think in 2020, more than ever, we need more ethically produced products - it should be expected, let’s be honest! So it’s always nice to see another brand like this even if it’s essentially copying Tony’s. I got the dark chocolate version to try as I was curious how it would be compared to other dark chocolates. In hindsight this was a mistake, as the actual chocolate is nothing extraordinary. It’s nice enough and good quality don’t get me wrong but it has no particular distinct flavour to make me buy it again. I’ll certainly try the other two flavours which are Milk Chocolate and Almond and Sea Salt, and I do like the chunky haphazard block design that mimics Tony’s Chocolonely.
