Tesco are currently busy launching a raft of new ice cream products into their stores, and there's many gems among them - see this Instagram post of mine for a few as well as my Skittles Ice Creams review. There's also a new Haagen Dazs Brownie Macchiato , Ben and Jerry's Coconutterly Caramel Vegan Ice Cream, Low Fat Ben & Jerry's Moophoria tubs as well as new Halo Top lollies (which everyone is going crazy for)! I thought I'd try something a bit simpler to review, possibly healthier and also...vegan! Yes, the Solero brand has done something quite revolutionary and removed the dairy ice cream centre of a Solero, and replaced it with a soft juicy filling for these Peach Lollies. The ingredients are a simple mix of sugar, water, peach juice, peach, peach puree, lemon juice, pectin and other natural flavourings, as well as apple juice. Very fruity! Last week the foodie community got rather excited over the announcement of these new Milkybar Mix Ups chocolates, and understandably so since they’re a rare "new" product from the Milkybar brand. They have done Milkybar Milkshake Mix Up Buttons before of course which were a somewhat similar idea, but the execution of these is much better. They're a mix of white chocolate pieces with a creamy cocoa filling, and milk chocolate pieces with a milky filling. They will be available in all major supermarkets later this week, but I was lucky because Milkybar UK contacted me on Instagram and offered me samples to review. How could I say no?! I tipped a bag out and arranged it in various ways, which proved to be quite fun. I also had a go at channeling Eat Explore Etc and tried balancing some of the chocolates on top of each other. I must admit when I first heard about these new Skittles Cooler ice creams being launched I was a little skeptical. They sounded a bit sickly and I just couldn’t imagine Skittles of all sweets working as an ice cream. Boy was I proven wrong! I spotted these for £3 for three sticks whilst in Tesco - who have loads of new ice creams in at the moment such as Tesco Rainbow Cones and Kinder Bueno Cones - and straight in my basket they went. They’re fruit flavoured ice creams with crunchy skittle pieces mixed in, covered in a strawberry coating. They look a bit like a Solero and that’s the general idea of the coating - a sorbet like fruit pulp mixture. It’s pretty tasty and a good start to the fruity sweetness that lies below... Yes, not only is the actual ice cream fruit flavoured but also it contains little crunchy Skittle pieces! They were in different colours of course and look super cool embedded in the ice cream. A big thanks to Tony’s Chocolonely UK for sending me some bars from their newly launched UK range to review recently. They have quite an impressive assortment indeed and more impressive still is the annual report booklet on their fair trade mission, that they sent along with the chocolates. I haven’t read it fully yet but am very keen to do so! I firmly believe ethical chocolate is the way forward, in fact it’s the only way forward if we are to continue enjoying the treat. Tony’s are on a mission to make it the norm - so bravo to them and to help in their mission you can spread the word about their tasty chocolates! First up for review is this Almond & Honey Nougat Milk Chocolate, their take on that classic combination otherwise known as Toberone. The ingredients are pretty similar to Toblerone but of course the chocolate is better quality - Belgian fairtrade Chocolate with 32% cocoa solids, with almond and honey nougat pieces. If you’re dairy free or vegan it sure is difficult to find a decent version of milk chocolate, but thankfully many brands have been busy creating some tasty options. One of them is Moo Free who make a variety of vegan products including Easter Eggs, Bunnies and these new Choccy Chums bars. They’re available from Asda for just over 50p in the Free From section and come with a surprise design on...you’ll get either Lilly Lu Lemur or Mikey Bunny. I got Mikey Bunny, which is of course very fitting for the Easter season! It’s a nice design which will surely appeal to kids. The chocolate is really tasty, sweet and smooth and I like the thin design of it with the chunkier central bunny bit. I often buy two of these bars when going to Asda as one is just never enough. Overall, these are some pretty tasty dairy free chocolates that I’d recommend if you’re vegan or dairy free. 8 out of 10.

Today's review is rather special, because M&M's are one of those products that when they do a new flavour...well, it's always an occasion! And these ones are all the way from Australia - I was kindly sent a pack to try as part of a snacks haul recently, and am ever so greatful. It seems that Australia are getting many different varieties of M&M's recently - from these to Hot Cross Bun and now they're even getting Strawberries & Cream too! WHY do we never get such flavours in the UK? It's a travesty! Moving on, these M&Ms come in three colours and flavours, they're green, white and yellow with the white being coconut flavoured, the yellow being pineapple and the green? I'm not sure actually - it was rather difficult to detect. Apparently according to Twitter it's regular milk chocolate. They certainly have a strong pina colada type aroma, and the wrapper suggests this also. I tried them all individually before mixing them to...

I was pleasantly surprised by the new Cadbury Darkmilk bar when I reviewed it last year - it's both sweet and creamy whilst retaining the richness of a darker chocolate - so I was very excited to try this Salted Caramel version when it launched recently. It contains crunchy salted caramel pieces with 40% cocoa milk chocolate, and can be found in the likes of WH Smiths currently for around £1 or so. It also contains real sea salt, none of your regular pedestrian salt! I ate it on the go, as I often have to, and it has the same square style block design as the Original version. I much prefer it over the curvy shaped blocks that Cadbury introduced to Dairy Milk bars. Taste wise, the caramel chips are a bit like pieces of Daim, although of course more salty and without the almond bits in. They definitely make for an interesting flavour combined with the Darkmilk chocolate, but in all honesty I don't think the combination quite works somehow. I think it's the saltiness...
