Marks & Spencer Christmas Pudding Smoothie

There's always one novelty product every Christmas that intrigues you to the point you just have to try it. From the likes of Chocolate Veggies (this year Tesco are doing Carrot Truffles as well as Sprouts - last year it was Chocolate Potatoes), Candy Cane Crisps , Salted Caramel Crisps and Mince Pie Fudge, there's always something fun or just plain weird. This year it's M&S who may have won the Weirdest Christmas Product award - they're doing a Christmas Pudding Smoothie! And of course this isn't just any smoothie, it's an M&S smoothie so they have gone the extra mile and actually used raisin purée (!) to give it that authentic Christmas Pudding taste and texture. It's all in good spirit too as 5% is donated to Shelter from every pack, something that will be very welcome at this time of year with austerity cuts.  Described as "a dairy smoothie made from raisin purée, yogurt, apples, cinnamon and flavourings" this costs £1.50...

Marks & Spencer Pumpkin Smoothie

There's a few new Pumpkin Spice flavoured products around at the moment, it seems to be the flavour of the month in fact, and I for one am pleased! The Muller Corner Pumpkin Spice Latte was pretty nice, and it got me in the mood to try out more pumpkin-flavoured products...one being this "Smoothie Pumpkin" from Marks & Spencer. I'm not sure why they've flipped the name around...surely Pumpkin Smoothie has a better ring to it?! This cost £1.50 in M&S and is a mixture of apple juice, pumpkin puree, banana puree, carrot, mango and cinnamon extract. I was surprised that pumpkin is so high on the ingredients list, because with products like this the fruit it's named after is often (weirdly) at the end of the list! I've never tried pumpkin in smoothie form before so I had no idea what to expect...but this was rather nice! The smoothie was very sweet, smooth and with just the right hint of warming spicy cinnamon. Not too overpowering but nice a...
