Today's review is for a rather interesting product, one sent to me by Austrian Chocolate producer Zotter recently. They do a rather extensive and delicious range of chocolates, many in unique flavours you'll see from no other company, especially in their hand-scooped range. They offer shipping to the UK from their Online Store - do check them out! I chose some of their Dairy Free and Vegan bars to review, and one that tickled my interest was this "Choco Nougat" bar made with coconut sugar and rice milk. It comes in a long block, looking similar to a Toblerone, with indentations to break pieces off. There's a variety of uses for this chocolate, as indicated in the wrapper above, from melting, cake decorating, fudge making etc. It's basically a sort of Dairy Free Fudge/White Chocolate mixture. Today's review is for a rather special chocolate maker, one I have loved for a long time now but is rather difficult to find in UK shops. A handful of health food stores sometimes sell their bars, and you can also buy direct from Zotter's Austrian website and have bars delivered to the UK. Zotter are an Austrian company making an extensive variety of unique bars, from their famous "hand scooped" range (see my review of their Coconut & Raspberry ) with various fillings, to their Mitzi Blue discs that remind me of UFO's. I was kindly sent a variety of bars to try recently, so a big thankyou to Zotter for the opportunity! Here we have the Zotter "Hand Scooped" Raspberry & Coconut bar which I bought at Wholefoods during a recent visit to London. I was very excited to find it because we don't get many Zotter bars here up North. Out of all the flavours available I chose this as it sounded the most "safe" option, because as many people will know, Zotter are a company known for filling their chocolates with wacky flavours such as Bacon , Cheese , Fish, herbs, etc. There was no weirdness from this bar however - it was a totally pleasurable experience from start to finish! This is a "bean to bar" chocolate made by the Zotter company in Austria, and is described as "Coconut chocolate with raspberry-coconut filling". It contains fairtrade and organic ingredients, and 50% cocoa solids. Opening up the wrapper I knew it was going to be a very fruity tasting bar.
