Cadbury Darkmilk, Bournville Orange, Lindor Mint etc (Spotted In Shops)

Image
It's that time of year when all the new products are being launched - hurrah! Let's celebrate with another Spotted In Shops post... First up is the above bar of Bournville Orange Dark Chocolate which I spotted in Iceland Foods. It costs £1, is Dairy Free and has a "New Old!" label on...because this isn't the first time Cadbury have made this bar. It was around many years ago (2009!) along with an Old Jamaica Bournville , just before Cadbury were taken over by Kraft.  Other new developments from Cadbury are their Darkmilk range; a rich and creamy chocolate with a higher percentage of cocoa than Dairy Milk (but still containing milk, obviously). Currently available for £1 from Tesco in an Original variety... Plus Roasted Almond. Does this sound like your kind of thing? Let me know in the comments! A rather strange product Cadbury have launched is this Sweet Shop style bag of chocolates, that includes Dairy Milk, Caramel, Fudge and E...

Maynards Bassetts Tropical vs Original Jelly Babies

Image
Todays review is a face off...well...a jelly baby off between the new Tropical flavour Jelly Babies from Maynards Bassetts vs the Original Jelly Babies. It seems incomprehensible that a new variety could beat the originals, so this will be interesting! Firstly, I must mention the new name: Jelly Babies were originally labelled as Bassetts, but Mondelez have put both the Maynards brand (which is on things like Wine Gums and Sports Mixture) and Bassetts (which includes the likes of Liquorice Allsorts - who can forget the character Bertie Bassett?) I'm not sure it's a good idea to lump two brands together like this, but I guess it fits with Mondelez' marketing strategy of making everything the same. First up, the Tropical Jelly Babies. These come in mango, pineapple and BANANA (ooh!) flavours so straight off they are at a disadvantrage of containing less variety than the Originals, despite the fancy flavours. But are they good flavours? Yes, they are as it turns out!...

Spotted In Shops! Walkers Stax, Cadbury Snow Balls, New Crisps & More!

I've decided to bring Spotted In Shops back from the grave permanently...partly because there's so much new stuff in shops right now with the change of seasons/Autumn equinox and partly to save my Instagram followers the endless stream of posts. So here it is...Spotted In Shops is back, probably on a weekly basis for the time being. Huzzah! Walkers Limited Editon Stax: Walkers have a go at being Pringles! Available in 3 flavours: original, sour cream and onion, and paprika. These are called Lays Stax in other countries. Spotted in Asda. Maynards Bassetts Wine Gums Merry Mix: I think these are just "festive" coloured wine gums. Innovative. Spotted in Morrisons. Cadbury Roses Hazel in Caramel Sharing Bags: Is there really a demand for these? Cadbury Dairy Milk Snow Balls: Now these there is a demand for! Stay tuned for my review... Fox's Viennese Double Chocolate Dipped Fingers: Fox's have brought out a few new biscuit varieties late...
