Foxs Glacier Tropical Limited Edition Sweets

Image
A quick review today, since these Fox's Limited Edition Tropical Glaciers will soon be making way for the new Winter limited edition. These are currently available in various stores but I was kindly sent them by Home Bargains, where you can be guaranteed to find all the latest limited edition Fox's sweets, as well as many other cool products. These contain a tropical variety of Mango & Passionfruit, Pineapple and...Coconut! I was not expecting that one! Opening the wrappers, of course they smelled super tropical! The mango and passionfruit is the classic tropical flavour, very pleasant and tasty. Pineapple is another classic and one of my favourite sweet flavours - the ones in Starburst Tropical used to be absolute favourites. I really enjoyed this one! The coconut was interesting. You wouldn't quite expect this to work in sweet form but it's actually very pleasant. It's a sweet and subtle coconut flavour, but unmistakable. Is it artificial? Yeah of c...

Fox's Glacier Ice Cream Favourites Limited Edition

Image
I haven't eaten Fox's sweets in a while, although I did used to love both the Mints and Fruits as a kid. Recently, they've been doing some limited editions such as Pop Bottles, and this year there's a new variety for Summer in the shape of these Ice Cream Favourites. The flavours consist of Raspberry Ripple, Strawberry Cream, Rum and Raisin, and Banana. Some bold flavours for sweets I'm sure you'll agree! I was very excited when I saw these in shops, so I was over the moon a few days later when Fox's sent me a few packs to review. Cheers Fox's! The sweets are all individually wrapped and to be honest it was a little difficult distinguishing which flavour was which judging by colour alone. The bright yellow ones were clearly Banana, the paler ones were Rum and Raisin and so on. Going by taste though it was pretty obvious. And despite my reservations about Rum and Raisin flavoured sweets...they were actually REALLY nice! Yes they tasted a tad a...

Fox's Candy Bear Polar Bears

Image
Last year Fox's launched a new range of gluten free gummy sweets under the "Candy Bear" name. I was really excited by these since regular gummy sweets can use glucose syrup derived from wheat (boo!) but these are assured to be completely gluten free (the glucose syrup is instead derived from corn). They Candy Bear range has been in Home Bargains for a mere 50p a bag recently, which is a great bargain but it does suggest that maybe the range is being axed from mainstream stores. I do hope not! I've tried a few varieties including the cool "Ice Burgers" where you can create your own gummy burgers, but sadly there's so pics (I ate them pretty quickly) so these Polar Bears will have to do! They're basically gummy sweets containing extra fruit juice, making them a lot fruiter than your average gummy sweet. They're a bit softer than Haribo, and much more flavoursome and fruity. I really enjoyed them and ate a few too many at once...they'...

Spotted in Tesco. Tango Jaffa Cakes Tango Jaffa Cakes! These are made by Huntley & Palmers who have quite a bit of history as a biscuit manufacturer, and contain an orange Tango filling coated in dark chocolate.
